"Dreaming in a Slum" is the brainchild of Gulafsha Ansari. It was established in March 2017, with an aim to provide football coaching to girls/women from the urban poor background. Still in the initial stages of the development we have volunteers from different background and societies who believe in this project and are supporting us in whatever form they can . "Dreaming in a Slum" in the coming years will be delivering their services in multiple locations across Mumbai and other states.
"Dreaming in a Slum" is a project which aims to provide football coaching to women from
all age groups and society. Our ultimate aim is to work towards women
empowerment through various stages of football. We want to train the girls so that they
can learn life skills and become self sufficient in future, we want to create
leaders & role models in the community to inspire other girls from the
urban poor to realise there dreams and be independent. We want the girls to realise there potential and with the help of
football they can go places and live a better life.
